Treatments: Lip Enhancement

After the eyes, the volume and shape of the lips are the most important esthetic focal point of the face. The lips have been called the most visible sexual organ. With age the lips get smaller and turn inward.

Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane and Juvéderm allow us to sculpt the lips into an attractive shape and appearance. Lip enhancement is very much an artistic endeavor, and achieving a natural, pleasing appearance requires a great deal of skill and practice.

The skin above the pink part of the lip (the vermillion) often becomes wrinkled with age. Our Lip Rejuvenation Package allows us to improve this condition with essentially no downtime.

We can achieve long lasting significant improvement in lip lines using the Sciton Laser in skin resurfacing mode. This is associated with a longer recovery time.

Another change that occurs with age is the downward drooping of the corners of the mouth, the so-called "downward smile". This occurs because of the loss of supporting tissue at the corners of the mouth, which eventually blends into the "marionette lines" running down onto the chin. Hyaluronic acid fillers and Radiesse, combined with a small amount of appropriately placed BOTOX® or Dysport™, can alleviate this problem.
